Basic Belt Drive Principals

This two-hour session is dedicated to developing an understanding of basic belt drive principals. Completion of the seminar will assist you in identifying the proper belt for the application, how to select the proper belt drive system, when to use single vs. banded v-belts as well as when to replace the belts and pulleys. You will also learn the effects of improper tension and how to set the proper belt tension using a tension tester.
This session is being organized and conducted under the direction of Jeff Place with Applied Industrial Technologies.
