VTCA 2011 Winter Meeting

To say that this past year has been a challenge to the transportation construction and aggregates industries would be an understatement.  All of us anxiously awaited details about VDOT’s Corrective Action Plan, specifically where and when current cash balances would be invested. We are now awaiting Governor McDonnell’s plan for transportation funding, which is to be unveiled in early December. VTCA has been actively involved in both processes, which are critical to begin the recovery in our businesses.  Your Alliance will continue to aggressively monitor and represent you on these and other issues that face our industry.

VTCA will also continue to provide you with specialized opportunities for professional development - education that gives you practical information and take home tools that will strengthen your companies.  The Alliance also provides opportunities to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones.  We strongly encourage you to join us and your industry colleagues for the 2011 Winter Meeting in Savannah.  The 2011 meeting will be held at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. 

The Mansion is Savannah’s most opulent hotel.  Built in 1888, the Victorian-Romanesque mansion has been lovingly restored to its original splendor.  Its dramatic design features over 400 pieces of unique art and its own gallery, The Grand Bohemian.  Inside each of the Mansion’s guestrooms and suites you will find classical refinement as well as conveniences for the 21st century guest.
