David Hieber, PE has joined JMT as a Vice President with the firm’s Herndon, Virginia Highways team. He will lead VDOT, locally administered, and other transportation-related projects. Hieber’s experience in working closely with local, regional, and state public entities and his extensive design-build experience throughout the Commonwealth provides JMT with additional depth in these critical infrastructure areas. In his 18 years of experience, David has served as Lead Structural Engineer on more than 30 bridges delivered using design-build project delivery. In his new role, David will focus on the growth of JMT’s Northern Virginia transportation practice.
David received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and the University of Washington, respectively. He is a past member of the Engineering Consultant Leadership Committee (ECLC) of the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance and is past-president of the American Society of Highway Engineers-Potomac section.
