Volkert Announces Retirement of Dennis Morrison

Volkert has announced the upcoming retirement of Dennis Morrison, PE and the promotion of Keith Weakley, PE, DBIA.  After 12 years of service to Volkert, and a long and distinguished 30-year career with VDOT, Mid-Atlantic senior vice president Dennis Morrison, PE, will retire in January 2020.   During his tenure with Volkert, the Mid-Atlantic region grew from three to six offices, more than tripled in number of employees, and increased its net revenue over 300 percent.

Keith Weakley, PE, DBIA, will assume the leadership of the Mid-Atlantic region in January, filling the vacancy left by Morrison’s retirement.  Keith joined Volkert in 2010 and is currently vice president and chief engineer for the region.  Keith has more than 25 years of experience developing, designing, and managing transportation projects in the state of Virginia, having served as the VDOT Staunton District Structure and Bridge Engineer prior to joining Volkert.  Keith received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and his master’s in the same discipline from the University of Virginia.
