This webinar will focus on the impact that the current Administration is expected to have on the mining industry and MSHA, including regulatory reform and MSHA initiatives aimed at compliance and enforcement. The presentation will include a discussion of MSHA enforcement trends and an update on developments in mine safety law, such as the recent proliferation of Section 105(c) “interference” complaints brought by miners against mine operators and prosecuted by MSHA and Commission case law decisions of note. Mine operators, contractors and their management and Human Resources personnel will benefit from information provided during the presentation.
Presenter is Max Corley who is of Counsel at Steptoe & Johnson in the Huntington, West Virginia office. His practice is focused on the defense of clients in employment and other civil defense litigation and in federal and state workplace safety and health matters including coal mine, metal/nonmetal, and OSHA regulatory matters in federal and state administrative proceedings.
