Consultant Engineers are invaluable in delivering Virginia’s growing transportation program. With unprecedented growth in the program, VDOT and local governments depend on the efficiencies and expertise the consultant industry provides. Understanding Virginia’s transportation-related goals, plans, and expectations is essential for your company's success. Join us later this summer to learn firsthand from Virginia leadership and staff who, along with Virginia’s consulting industry, are responsible for delivering Virginia’s program. Whether you specialize in design, inspection, operations, planning, or combinations thereof, you will want to be at this year’s VTCA-VDOT Consultant Forum. This year’s theme is “Virginia Transportation: Investment, Innovation, Impact.” Opening comments will be provided by VTCA’s President, Eddie Gupton of the Rogers Group, and the current Chair of the Engineering Consultant Leadership Committee (ECLC), Erin Donovan of GFT Infrastructure. The first general session will shed light on the current administration’s vision for Virginia transportation, especially concerning investment in safety and transit. The late morning and early afternoon sessions will delve more deeply into tools, policies, and strategies being used by VDOT to deliver more projects with improved efficiency. The closing session will feature a panel discussion on how VDOT (and its partners) arrive at what delivery models (e.g., design-build, design-bid-build, etc.) to use to develop and construct key transportation projects.
