Help Inspire the Next Generation at Mission Tomorrow

VTCA members have an opportunity to introduce thousands of local students to the rewarding careers available in transportation construction and related industries through Mission Tomorrow, the Richmond region’s premier career exploration event for eighth-grade students.

Now in its 11th year, Mission Tomorrow connects approximately 12,000 students from 48 schools with more than 100 local businesses. Through interactive activities and conversations with industry professionals, students gain firsthand exposure to high-demand careers and information that can help guide their high school coursework and future career decisions.

Participating students represent Charles City, Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent and Powhatan counties, as well as the City of Richmond.

For VTCA member companies, Mission Tomorrow provides a valuable opportunity to showcase careers in construction, engineering, aggregates, equipment, safety and other essential areas of Virginia’s transportation industry. By sharing their expertise and creating engaging experiences, participating businesses can help students better understand the many career paths available within the industry.

Mission Tomorrow is part of ChamberRVA’s broader Learning to Earning Journey, which creates workforce-development pathways for individuals at different stages of their education and careers.
