Sahakyan Named as Statewide Pavement Contracts Manager

VDOT has announced the creation of the Statewide Pavement Contracts Manager, a new position within the Department.  Gegham Sahakyan, CCM has been selected to fill the new role that will report directly to the Assistant State Construction Engineer for Contracts Advertisement and Award. In this role, Gegham will work closely with the VDOT’s districts to ensure that each year’s paving schedule program is developed, advertised, and executed as efficiently as possible.

Gegham is joining us from NOVA District, where he served in several roles, including Paving Program Construction Manager and District Pavement Manager. He is a Certified Construction Manager and has extensive experience in all facets of pavement management, including time working in the private sector as a consultant and contractor.
