Vernon Harris Retires from Virginia Department of Energy

Vernon Harris will officially retire from The Virginia Department of Energy's Mineral Mining Program on August 1, 2022. Vernon has served 15 years with Mineral Mining as a mine inspector and instructor. Prior to starting with Mineral Mining, Vernon worked for the mining industry in quarry, sand, and gravel operations and was a Certified Mine Foreman for many years. During his years with Mineral Mining, he developed numerous high quality training materials and conducted many training classes. His direct knowledge of the mining industry made him a highly effective trainer and allowed him to successfully reach miners and contractors across the industry. We appreciate Vernon's hard work, dedication, and passion for training. We wish him the best as he moves into another part of his life and retirement.
