VDOT Announces New State Specifications Engineer

VDOT has announced that Boris Solomonov, PE. has accepted the role State Specifications Engineer effective July 25, 2022.  In this role, he will provide leadership and oversight to the Construction Division’s Specification Section. 

Boris brings over 40 years of experience to this role including 23 years with VDOT serving as a Traffic Engineer in Richmond District, an Area Land Use Engineer in Chesterfield Residency, and an Engineer in CO Hydraulics. He has also held positions with Petersburg Public Works, Richmond City Building Inspection, DGIF Capital Programs, and the consultant industry working both as a project manager and roadway designer.
