Inshore Fishing

Join fellow members for a fun afternoon on the water enjoying Florida’s Gulf Coast! This guided inshore fishing trip stays within about 10 miles of Clearwater’s beautiful shoreline—perfect for beginners and seasoned anglers alike. All equipment is provided.
After your day on the water, the captains will clean your catch for you! There are multiple restaurants near the marina that will cook your fish for a small fee. Check out Crabby’s Dockside (crabbysdocksideclearwater.com) and Salt Cracker Fish Camp (saltcrackerfishcamp.com), both near the Marina to have your dinner cooked your way. If catch and release is your thing, you can do that too!
Time: 1:00 – 5:00 pm
Location: The group will depart from the Clearwater Marina, just steps from the Wyndham.
Fee: $275. Important note: fishing trip costs are based on full boat occupancy (six per boat)

Spouse/Guest Needlepoint Activity

Everything you wanted to know about Needlepoint, but were afraid to ask! Are you looking for a new hobby? A new way to explore your creativity and relax at the same time? Are you someone who likes art and manual crafts, and is looking for an activity to help you unwind? Then needlepoint is the thing for you!
Join Catherine Stelter and other spouses/guests as Catherine walks beginners and returning learners through the joy and ins and outs of needlepoint. We will meet on Friday morning, January 30 after the President’s Breakfast at 10:00 am. Put down the phone and unplug for a few minutes. Needlepoint helps slow down the fast pace of life, and makes us focus on some simple actions, for a few moments, allowing the brain to relax. It can also be enjoyed along with other forms of art, like music, for an entertaining experience.

Dolphin Tour

Join us for a private tour exclusively for VTCA members aboard the largest and fastest dolphin boat in Clearwater — a thrill you won’t forget! Enjoy a fully narrated cruise filled with sightseeing through Clearwater Harbor, where you’ll pass celebrity waterfront homes and historic landmarks. Then, hold on tight for an exhilarating open-top ride through the Gulf of Mexico, skimming past Clearwater’s famous beaches and resorts. With speeds up to 35 miles per hour on its deep-V hull, the Sea Screamer delivers the perfect blend of speed, comfort, and excitement! The dolphins LOVE to play in the large wake, sometimes only a few feet behind the boat!
